How I Got Here

I began my insurance career in 1996 when I joined the nation’s leading disability carrier. I held a variety of positions in my 7 years on the carrier side of the business, including account management, marketing, and sales. In my marketing and sales role I developed a passion for the benefit communication process, the importance of attention to detail and to always work to exceed client expectations.

I joined Benefit Partners, LLC in October of 2004 to expand the group benefits practice in the area of core benefit planning and voluntary / employee paid benefits. I’ve developed an extensive clientele of businesses and individuals because of my keen focus on helping employers structure benefit programs that balance cost while meeting the needs of employees, and then communicating and implementing those programs. I also advise in income replacement strategies as well as business insurance strategies.

What I Love About My Job

Benefit Partners is all about people, and I love that. Here are some of my favorite aspects of the job:
Advocacy: It feels good to be there when people need me the most.
Communication process: I like to help shape the way an employer communicates with employees. Basically, I help employers help their employees understand all the details so they can make the best decision.
Relationship building: Relationships are paramount with employer groups, and I enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners, HR professionals, and other key people.
Strategic planning: I enjoy being able to work with professionals strategically on what they need for themselves and their employees. It gives me an opportunity to think creatively.
